Unateresa Gormley, Ann Marie Mulholland, Bridget O’Brien and all of the wonderful members of IAYL, thank you for sending me on the trip of a lifetime to the Celtic Irish American Academy. You gave me the opportunity to visit Ireland. I attended The Celtic Irish Academy in Galway where I was truly immersed in Irish culture. I will never forget diving into the Galway Bay! (It is freezing but so worth it!) I had a dream trip – horseback riding, hurling, painting and learning about Irish literature, business, drama and music. As if the city of Galway was not amazing enough, I got to visit the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Kylemoore Abbey and Dublin. Croagh Patrick is 764 metres and I am proud to say I made it to the very top!
