Hi, My name is Jamie Mulholland and I am the 2018 Irish American Junior Young Leader. Throughout this past year I’ve had some truly irreplaceable experiences that were presented to me through this organization. Some of my highlights include getting to ride on the Irish Consulate float in the NYC Pride parade, meeting Michael D Higgins (Ireland’s President) at my local GAA, and going to the Celtic Irish American Academy in Galway, Ireland for a two week summer camp in July of 2018! The CIAA camp was amazing, I went exploring all over the country with other high school-aged students, stayed with a host family, and made incredible friendships. Who knew that two weeks was all the time you needed to make friends that would last a lifetime!
These are just some of the countless experiences I’ve gotten to enjoy over this past year.
